SSS pays a funeral benefit to whoever paid the funeral expenses of a deceased member or pensioner. Proof of payment from the funeral home is required.
For government employees and GSIS pensioners. The claimant usually submits the death certificate and proof of funeral expenses.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office and local officials in General Santos may offer burial assistance to qualified residents.
Families of active OWWA member OFWs may be eligible for death and burial benefits.
Beneficiaries of a deceased Pag-IBIG member may claim the member's savings and applicable death benefits.
