Funeral Assistance

Funeral assistance in General Santos City

Government and private programs can help ease the cost of a funeral. We help your family prepare the documents those programs ask from the funeral home, so you can file your claims with confidence.

How We Help

Documents we prepare for your claims

Most burial assistance programs require proof of the funeral expenses from the funeral home. As your funeral service provider, Libintia Caja can prepare:

  • Statement of account: the breakdown of funeral charges and payments
  • Certification of balance: commonly requested for DSWD assistance
  • Funeral home certification: for SSS funeral benefit claims
  • Official receipts: proof of payment of funeral expenses
  • Casket size certification: when required
  • Promissory note: for approved flexible payment arrangements

Just tell our team which program you are applying for and we will prepare the right documents.

Assisted packages start at ₱45,000. We accept DSWD and SSS burial assistance for packages worth ₱45,000 and above. Call us to ask about our assisted packages. Our packages are exclusive to General Santos City. See our packages.

Document Checklist

Documents to keep ready

Having these ready speeds up most assistance claims.

  • Certified copy of the death certificate (registered with the Local Civil Registry)
  • Statement of account or funeral contract from Libintia Caja
  • Official receipts of funeral payments
  • Valid government ID of the claimant
  • Proof of relationship to the deceased (birth or marriage certificate)
  • Barangay certificate of indigency or residency, if required
  • Membership numbers of the deceased (SSS, GSIS, Pag-IBIG, OWWA)
Plan members pay less upfront

With the Love Your Neighbor Program, members only pay the interment fee upon pick-up or delivery. Assistance claims can then help with other family expenses.

Libintia Caja Mortuary Care is not a government agency and does not decide on or release assistance. We prepare funeral home documents to support your application. Eligibility, requirements and amounts are determined by each agency.
